Nat Geo: Discovering the Rome of Julius Caesar
(English guide, operates Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (except first Sunday of each month) shared tour, starts at 9:30 am, duration 4hrs). The tour will follow an itinerary that links Caesar’s life and deeds, crossing the city to encounter symbolic places from his history and his empire, but will also pass by significant locations of current power. In the company of a specialist Roman history guide, you’ll get important insights into monuments such as the Roman Forum as well as lesser-known sites such as the Temple of Pompey, Theatre of Marcellus and Porticus Octaviae. Your lunch location is a very special place: an underground restaurant where the ruins of the location where Caesar was assassinated are visible. The tour includes English speaking guide, a walking tour, admission fees and lunch.
