Location: Florence
Accommodation Name: Grand Hotel Adriatico or similar 4*

After breakfast enjoy a free day at leisure. You could immerse yourself in Renaissance art at the Uffizi Gallery, where masterpieces by Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Botticelli await, then stroll across the iconic Ponte Vecchio bridge and explore the charming streets of Florence to discover local shops, cafes, and the breathtaking Florence Cathedral. Don't miss the chance to climb the Duomo for panoramic views of the cityscape and the Tuscan hills. Or discover the secrets of Tuscan olive oil in our unique tour (not included).
Nat Geo: The Secrets of Tuscan Olive Oil
(English guide, operates Saturdays from February to October, shared tour, starts at 9:30 am, duration 4 hrs to 8 hrs). Tuscan olive oil is known for its quality and exceptional flavor profile. The characteristic grassy, fruity flavor is produced by pressing the olives while they are still green - before they are completely ripe. You will find out all the secrets of Tuscany's prized ‘green gold' at Villa Campestri, a Renaissance estate in the Mugello with extensive grounds and a wonderful view of the Tuscan countryside. Not only is it a working farm producing the finest olive oil, but it is also the world's first Olive Oil Resort. Beginning with a stroll to the 13th-century well room, your host will fill you in on the villa's rich history. Next, you'll be shown the workings of the patented OliveToLive technology. The journey continues to the olive oil mill. The session will show you how to recognize and appreciate the qualities of Tuscan olive oil, and afterwards you can enjoy some classic Italian produce for your picnic lunch outside in the Villa's wonderful grounds. The tour includes English speaking guide, transport, a workshop and lunch.

Day 3 : Florence
Location: Florence
Accommodation Name: Grand Hotel Adriatico or similar 4*
Meals Included: Breakfast
After breakfast at the hotel another day at leisure. We suggest visiting the Accademia Gallery to witness Michelangelo's magnificent David sculpture, and then wander through the Oltrarno district, known for its artisan workshops and the beautiful Pitti Palace. Conclude the day at the Boboli Gardens, where you can relax amidst stunning landscapes and sculptures, capturing the essence of Florence's cultural richness. Or head deep into the tranquil Florentine countryside with our guided tour (not included).
Nat Geo: Regenerative Agriculture at Fattoria Triboli
(English guide, operates Saturdays from February to October, shared tour, starts at 8:30 am, duration 4 hrs to 8 hrs). Regenerative organic agriculture is designed to improve natural resources rather than simply maintaining them. If drastic changes are not made to the way we use soil to cultivate crops, it could lead to disaster by the end of the century. Your tour will begin with an introduction to the farm, its history, and the philosophy behind the business today. Next, you will follow your National Geographic-trained guide on a trail leading through the woods and olive groves to see for yourself how sustainable agriculture works. Finish the tour with an olive oil tasting followed by a light lunch prepared with locally grown products before returning to Florence. The tour includes English speaking guide, transport, lunch and glass of wine.
