Location: Milan
Accommodation Name: UNAHOTELS Galles Milano, Milan, or similar
Meals Included: Breakfast
After breakfast at the hotel, meet your professional local guide for a three-hour walking tour through the heart of Milan. Starting along Corso Buenos Aires, you’ll arrive at Porta Venezia (Venice Gate), one of the city’s historic entrances, with origins that may date back to medieval or even Roman times. An urban legend suggests the gate’s alternate name, “Porta Renza,” comes from Renzo Tramaglino, a character in Alessandro Manzoni’s novel The Betrothed, who enters Milan through this very gateway.
Continuing toward Corso Venezia, you’ll take a scenic shortcut through the Giardini Indro Montanelli, a beautiful public garden. Across from the gardens, you’ll pass the Galleria d’Arte Moderna (GAM), Milan’s modern art museum. Moving along Viale Manzoni, your next stop is the world-renowned La Scala opera house (Teatro alla Scala).
Next, prepare to marvel at the iconic Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano), where your guide will highlight its most captivating features. Your tour will conclude at the majestic Castello Sforzesco, a medieval fortress built in the 15th century.
Afterward, enjoy some free time for lunch at one of the many local restaurants. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You may choose to stay in the city center for some world-class shopping at Milan’s renowned boutiques, or you could opt for an optional afternoon excursion to Lake Como (not included in the package), where you can take in the breathtaking beauty of one of Italy’s most famous lakes. Overnight stay in Milan.
Day 3 : Milan > Santa Margherita Ligure > Portofino > Sestri Levante > La Spezia
Location: La Spezia
Accommodation Name: CDH Hotel La Spezia, La Spezia, or similar
Meals Included: Breakfast
Depart Milan by coach and journey toward the stunning Liguria region. Your first stop will be the charming town of Santa Margherita Ligure, lovingly referred to as “La Perla del Tigullio.” Nestled between the sea and mountains, this picturesque town is known for its beautiful port and elegant luxury hotels.
Next, enjoy a brief boat ride to the glamorous town of Portofino, renowned for its chic atmosphere and high-end boutiques. Its colorful streets, set against a backdrop of the sea, create an enchanting scene that has inspired writers and poets for centuries, including Guy de Maupassant. Shaped like a crescent moon, Portofino is an absolute must-visit for anyone exploring Liguria!
After some leisurely time in Portofino, continue your journey to Sestri Levante, where you’ll indulge in a delightful wine and local food-tasting experience. Afterward, you’ll arrive in La Spezia, where you’ll check in and spend the night.
Day 4 : Cinque Terre
Location: Cinque Terre
Accommodation Name: CDH Hotel La Spezia, La Spezia, or similar
Meals Included: Breakfast
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on an unforgettable journey to one of the Mediterranean’s most pristine and captivating regions: the Cinque Terre. This stunning area encompasses the five picturesque villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. Exploring the Cinque Terre is like stepping into a world where these charming villages sit nestled between rugged coastlines and lush hills. Perched on cliffs and surrounded by verdant landscapes, they boast some of the cleanest waters in the Mediterranean.
Once connected only by ancient mule tracks and accessible by rail or sea until modern times, the Cinque Terre offers a truly unique experience. Every corner reveals something special, from the vibrant colors of the homes to the winding paths, from the terraced vineyards and olive groves to the exquisite local cuisine. This region stands as one of Italy’s most breathtaking destinations.
Your journey begins with a scenic bus ride to Levanto, followed by a tour of the Cinque Terre aboard special local trains. You’ll have ample free time to savor a delicious lunch and explore at your own pace. In the afternoon, return to La Spezia for another relaxing night.

As you explore the historic center, one of the largest in Europe, you’ll have the opportunity to admire these magnificent palaces alongside other landmarks, such as the stunning Cathedral of San Lorenzo and the bustling Porto Antico.
