Get ready to see some of Europe's most extravagant castles and powerful palaces with this multi-country tour from Italy to Germany! Your journey will begin in Rome, the ancient capital of Italy. Uncover thousands of years of history as you visit the Imperial Forums and St. Peters Basilica. From there you will travel to Florence, the Birthplace of the Renaissance, and the perfect place to see the famous works of iconic Italian artists. Take a boat across the Grand Canal in Venice, the City of Canals, where you will discover St. Marks Square. Cross the border into Austria to visit Innsbruck, home to the Swarovski Crystal Museum, and drive across the mountains to the beautiful ski village of Kitzbuhel. Your next couple of stops will be in Salzburg, known for its historic city center and the legendary birthplace of Mozart, and Traunsee Lake, from where you will head on a cruise to Gmunden, known for its spectacular Alpine scenery. Next, travel to Vienna to visit the Schonbrunn Palace, the former home of the Hapsburgs. Cross the border into Hungary with a trip to Budapest, the “Queen of the Danube” home to an astounding 123 thermal baths. Explore Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, known for its rich culture and incredible art scene. Travel to Prague, the Czech capital, where you will head on a scenic boat tour on the Vltava River and see the Prague Castle – the largest ancient castle in the world! Drive through Bavaria, perhaps the most beautiful region in Germany, to visit Lauf, known for its busy market and Wenzelschloss Castle. Your next stop will be in Wurzburg, a famous university city situated on the banks of the Maine River. Finally, you will explore Frankfurt, known for its futuristic skyline, where your tour of Italy, Vienna, Budapest, and Prague will come to an end!

Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival in Rome, you will be transferred to your hotel. Check the information boards in the hotel reception area for details regarding the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travelers. At the end of the evening, we will arrange a transfer to the Via Cavour area, a great introduction to Rome, where you will find restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese, and International food.

This morning after breakfast enjoy a scenic tour of Rome, the Eternal City. You will have the opportunity to see the Vatican City home to St. Peters Basilica. A visit to the Roman Coliseum, the symbol of Rome is included. The Coliseum dates back 2,000 years and during your visit you will have learn about the ancient society of the Roman Empire. This evening you will be transferred to Trastevere where you will have free time to stroll the narrow-cobbled streets of the district. This area is home to churches, shops and many trattorias & osterias (informal Italian eating establishments). You will be transferred back to the hotel later in the evening.

After breakfast, you will start your day by departing from Rome, heading North on a beautiful route. Take in the magnificent landscapes on your way to Florence. Upon arrival, you will head straight to the Piazzale Michelangelo to see the beautiful views of the city. In the evening you will head on a tour with a local expert to explore the historic center. Bask in the beauty of the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria. This city is truly an outdoor museum waiting to be explored. Enjoy some leisure time to get to know the city before dinner, where you can enjoy delicious meals in one of the many restaurants of your choice which serve international cuisine.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast before you depart from your hotel. Today we enjoy stunning mountain landscapes while crossing the Apennine Mountains. We will arrive in Venice and take the boat and cross the Giudecca to the Island of Venice. With a local guide, we will visit the marvelous St. Mark´s Square and enter the Basilica (entrance included). Afterward, we will visit the Murano Glass Factory. It is fascinating to see the technique of how this ancient glass is made. Enjoy some time at leisure to explore. Accommodation in the Mestre district.

Day 5: Venice – Innsbruck – Kitzbuhel - Salzburg (B/-/D)

Departing from Venice, we'll travel to Austria, arriving first in Innsbruck. Here, you'll have time to explore the historic city center and enjoy lunch in the charming capital of Tyrol. Afterward, we'll drive along stunning scenic routes through the mountains to reach Kitzbühel, a renowned ski resort where snow is present much of the year. You'll have time to wander through this picturesque village before we continue to Salzburg, arriving by evening.
Note: In the case of a smaller group, we may take a train from Venice to Innsbruck.

Day 6: Kitzbuhel – Salzburg – St. Wolfgang – Traunsee Lake – Vienna (B/-/-)

After a delicious breakfast, get ready to depart from your hotel. Head on a tour with a cable ride up the mountains surrounding Kitzbuhel. The medieval town offers snowy landscapes 9 months a year and a beautiful alpine flower garden in the summer. Later, you will continue your journey along the mountains of Austria until you arrive in Salzburg. Your guide will accompany you through the beautiful streets of the citys historic center, declared a World Heritage Site. Then, you will drive by the beautiful lakes and mountains towards St. Wolfgang, a famous town of pilgrimage. Continue your journey towards Traunkirchen and get ready to see the beautiful Traunsee Lake. Here, you will head on a cruise to see four castles until you disembark the boat in Gmunden. The journey will then take you to Vienna, the capital of Austria, where you will arrive in the late afternoon.

In the evening we include a transfer to the neighborhood of Grinzing, an old wine-growing village annexed to the city and known for its traditional taverns. Free time to dine in one of its typical restaurants.

After breakfast, you will depart your hotel to begin your journey to Hungary. You will have an approximate three-hour journey to Budapest. Budapest is divided by the Danube River, with historic Buda on one side and cosmopolitan Pest on the other. Enjoy lunch followed by a scenic tour of the beautiful city. After the tour, you may enjoy some leisure time. At the end of the day, you can explore the lively area of Vaci Utca, and choose from one of many restaurants to have dinner.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast before you depart for Germany. We will have an early departure from Prague and stop in Pilsen, in the region of West Bohemia, a city renowned for its beer. Time for a walk through its historic center where we find the Great Square, the cathedral, the Plague Column and a Renaissance-era town hall. We will then cross into Germany where we will follow a section of the so-called ¨Romantic Route¨. Next, we will visit Rothemburg, a town that seems to come straight out of a fairy tale and is one of the most beautiful villages in the country. Afterwards, we will head to Frankfurt. Arrival in the financial capital of Germany in late afternoon. Free time in the historic city center where there is a wide variety of restaurants to choose from (from Indian cuisine to Oriental, Italian, international and so on).

Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
